The Razer Founder Strategic Success Through the Pandemic

The whole world is facing the pandemic of the coronavirus and many cities across the globe are under quarantine as we speak. The government has taken many initiatives to control the spread of the virus as well as make sure that businesses can stay alive.

Most businesses are unable to operate at usual times and of course, this has taken a hit in their overall revenue.

Despite all the negativities, there are some entrepreneurs out there who seem positive about the whole situation and have taken the opportunity to strengthen their business even more just like the Co-Founder of Razer, Min-Liang Tan.

Background of Razer

Tan is also the CEO of Razer which is considered the most well-known gaming company in the world. Tan used to be a lawyer and together with his partner, Robert Krakoff, they decided to establish the company in 2005.

Every gamer will know this brand and it is considered one of the best gaming equipment to have especially among the youth. With the speed and vast access to the internet, online gaming has become rather popular and is considered a multi-billion industry.

The e-sports community is only going to grow larger as time goes by so will the popularity of these gaming brands just as Razer does. Tan himself predicted that e-sports will become such a hit in the future but who knew that this pandemic that we are facing just expedites the process.

Since most people are forced to stay indoors and quarantine themselves, what better way to entertain yourself than playing online games with your friends. It is definitely a great way to release the stress in yourself as well as cure your boredom.

According to research conducted by Verizon, there has been an increase of 75% in online gaming in the United States of America ever since the Covid19 virus outbreak took place. On top of that, as of 22nd March, 1.2 Billion mobile games were downloaded. That's a lot.

That is a huge amount of profit that can be obtained from these gaming companies.

Tan himself has already invested a huge amount of money in this industry before even this pandemic even started. He believed that video games and e-sports will be a new platform for entertainment.
Streaming has also become a new full-time job for certain people and this community has started to grow even larger. And of course, as influencers work together with gaming companies such as Razer, the company's revenue will increase even more.

Tan also thinks that it is his responsibility to provide one-of-a-kind entertainment for all gamers out there aside from avoiding the spread of the coronavirus. Tan has also worked on establishing its very own digital bank called Razer Youth Bank.

I guess we'll just have to wait if that will be the reality in the future. Have you got any interest in Razer lately?
