The Richest Man in Japan Far More Richer than Warren Buffet

Some might say that he is considered the "Warren Buffet of Japan" but some might not know that he only sells rice for a living. The man we are talking about is named Munehisa Homma who happens to live in 1724 and was raised in Sakata, Japan.

Few people call him a person having "the fountain of gold" since he owns vast acres of land for the paddy field. He is very fortunate to be born with a silver spoon and the land he owns is as far as the eye can see, of course, trading of rice has been the main activity in their families for generations.

In the year 1750, Homma was the next person in line to take over his father's business after his father passed away. According to Japanese traditions, the eldest son will be the one to lead the family's business. However, things were not as expected since Homma was the youngest one in the family and it seems that he was the one chosen to run the business.

Nevertheless, this was not considered an issue as Homma has been helping out with the business ever since he was little and with the amount of experience that he has, he is the rightful person to be in charge of the family business.

Authorization Honor

After working for several years in Sakata, he managed to expand his business empire to major cities like Osaka and Edo which is now known as Tokyo. The success and wealth of Munehisa Homma have been getting the attention of the local authority as well as the people of Japan.

He was then awarded the Samurai rank and was offered to be the Financial Advisor by the local authority at the time. Aside from that, he was also given the authority to run his business and trade rice. This made him even richer by this recognition since the main food of the people of Japan was rice and most of them have to deal with him in order to get some.

From Coupon to "Candlestick"

The main target of Munehisa Homma's business was more focused on the area of Sakata, Osaka, and Edo. However, things were out of hand since the demand was increasing way too rapidly compared to the supply that they had.

Therefore, to make things much smoother, Homma has introduced a new coupon system for the buying and selling of rice at a certain price range. This has managed to control things and the revenue has also increased significantly since many customers were able to buy and sell the rice before the physical rice actually arrived in their hands at the expected time and date.

This concept was later found afterward and was studied by a man named Steve Nison. After deeply doing some research and coming to an understanding, Steve Nison has written a book called "Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques" in the year 1991.

The word that most traders have used nowadays known as the "Candlestick" was inspired by the system that was used a long time ago by Munehisa Homma. Up until now the system "Japanese Candlestick" is still considered relevant until this day and has been used by many digital traders across the globe.

The World's Billionaire

Rumour has it that the net worth of Munehisa Homma exceeds that of Warren Buffet and some estimate it to be more than $100 Billion USD if we were to compare it to today's current exchange.

If we were to compare both Mark Zuckerberg and Warren Buffet which are currently standing at 95.5 Billion USD and 80.6 Billion USD as of August 2020, then Munesiha Homma has both beaten them in terms of net worth.

However, one thing to bear in mind is that it is only based on rumors and his exact net worth is not really known. Therefore, we all should rise up and increase our country's economy for a better future, despite all of that, we should not just have a rich pocket but also a rich heart.
