How Did It All Happen?

Ferrari is not only known for its fancy and posh cars but is also involved in the most popular race in the world, Formula 1. You will most certainly see Ferrari cars in Formula 1 and when you see one, you should also know the person behind it, Enzo Ferrari.
Enzo Ferrari was born in 1898 and he had a strong ambition of becoming a racer since he was young. However, things went south as the first world war emerged shattering his dreams as he was forced to join the Italian army when he was only 16. 

At the start, his life was full of hardship and suffering mainly due to the war that was going on and the death of both the person closest to him, his brother and father. In order to survive, he had to find a job and his first attempt was to apply at FIAT but it was immediately rejected. This has brought him towards joining Costruzioni Maccaniche Nazionali(CMN).

After that, he became the leader of the team for the Alfa Romeo.

In the year 1937, Enzo left Alfa Romeo due to the financial crisis at the time. Without knowing the meaning of giving up, he opened his own workshop company focusing on spare parts replacements for race cars. During the second world war, his company was involved directly in supplying spare parts to military vehicles.

It was after the second world war ended, Enzo decided to establish Ferrari. He also founded F1 and took part in the Formula 1 championship. 

FIAT invested in Ferrari

In 1969, FIAT has joined in by investing in Ferrari as much as 50% ownership of the company which helped to expand the factories and producing new types of cars. Enzo Ferrari then decided to retire in 1973 and passed away in 1988.

The true success of Enzo Ferrari was his pure hard work and the strong will to never give up. Despite himself losing the one he loved, that did not stop him from becoming successful later on.

Enzo was also not afraid to try and take risks by trying something new and now his name is considered a legend, especially in the automotive industry.
