1. Brown Eggs Are More Expensive

Both these eggs are still being debated on which is more nutritious and worth it to purchase. But one thing for sure is that brown eggs are more expensive when compared to white eggs.

According to Greatist, brown eggs are believed to cost more in the market when compared to white eggs. So if you are looking for alternative cheap eggs then white eggs would be your choice.

2. Different Breeds

According to Clint Hickman from Greatist, chicken breeds play a huge role in determining the color of the eggs. Simply saying that if the chicken has more white furs, the eggs produced will also have a white shell.

Whereas if the chicken has more brown furs, the eggs produced will be brown in color. We can look at the species of chicken to know the kind of eggs that will be produced.

For instance, White Leghorn(left side of the picture) is a type of chicken with white furs all over its body. The eggs that will be produced will also be white in color.

Rhode Island Reds(right side of the picture) have brown furs all over its body and will make brown eggs instead.

3. Nutritional Content

While we are looking at its physical traits, the nutritional aspects of both these chicken eggs are also different. Some believed that brown eggs have a higher content of Omega-3 in them compared to white eggs.

Omega-3 is crucial in giving support to your heart's health as it helps lower the triglycerides in your body. This also explains the higher price tag of brown eggs.
