Ways To Make A DIY Gecko Trap

Using your kitchen tools is all that is needed to make the trap and capture all the geckos that have been haunting you to this day.

An empty plastic bottle
Fan
Water
Cooking oil
Sugar or Condensed Milk

The way to make the gecko trap is very simple. Firstly, you will want to cut the empty plastic bottle into two and use the bottom part first.

After that, place the fan at the base of the plastic bottle together with the water and sugar. This will allow the materials to function properly to trap the gecko in the bottle. You will then need to apply some cooking oil on the inside and outside of the plastic bottle to make the surface slippery.

You will then take the upper part of the plastic bottle that has been cut previously and assemble it the other way around with the other half of the plastic bottle.

When this trap has been fully completed, you will place it by the walls with cellophane tape or nails close to where you think these geckos might linger.

You will see that your efforts have paid off once the geckos get stuck inside the bottle and making your job much easier.

What Else Can Be Done?

To your knowledge, most reptile creatures including geckos carry bacterias especially Salmonella, Clostridium, Campylobacter, Leptospira and many more. These bacteria are known to cause many kinds of diseases including flu, high fever, headache, stomach discomfort, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, and poisoning.

Aside from using this gecko trap, there are many ways that can be done to ensure these creatures will not stick to your walls and make it their habitat.
