1. Kilauea Beach (Hawaii)

This beach might look unique and all with dark black sand but it can pose a threat to you. The Kilauea beach is located right next to Kilauea mountain which is one of the most active volcanoes in the world.

This mountain is constantly erupting ever since 1983 that emits hot red lava to the beach. Due to its location, the temperature of the waters here can reach up to 43 °C(109 °F).

2. Beaches In Northern Territory (Australia)

What's more worrying is that these jellyfish are transparent in color with the ocean making it hard to be seen in the waters. The stung victim can experience a heart attack and ultimately death if not treated in 5 minutes.

There have been 70 cases of deaths being reported since the 1883s.

3. Hanakapiai (Hawaii)

Another beach in Hawaii is on this list and is situated on Kauai. The beach can only be accessed through the Kalalau trail which is a dangerous place to go about especially for swimming.

This is due to the strong rip current of the ocean which is known to pull people from the beach. If one of you were to be pulled by this current, the closest land that you can reach will be 9km in distance causing most of the victims to be drowned by then.

Worry not as most of its prey consists of seals and reports stated that around 60,000 seals that lived by Dyer Island and Geyser Rock have gotten the attention of these sharks. But then again you definitely do not want to risk yourself getting too close to these sharks unless you are in a cage though.

5. Chowpatty Beach (Mumbai)

Unlike other beaches on this list where you should be scared of nature, this beach in particular is due to mankind's biggest problems. The health hazard on Chowpatty beach is due to pollution and contamination of the beach.

It can be considered one of the filthiest beaches out there with many debris from ships and the smell of trash being thrown from the city of Mumbai.

In 2011, the MV Rak ship has made it worst for the beach even more when it sank into the ocean releasing 60,000 metric tonnes of coal into the beach. You might want to save yourself from swimming on this beach as it can cause extreme diarrhea and other health issues.
