1. Blue Whale

Standing at the top of the list will be the blue whale or its scientific name, Balaenoptera musculus which is known to be the biggest living animal in the world. The blue whale can grow up to 30 meters in length weighing 180 metric tonnes.

Only the tongue of the blue whale alone weighs 2,700 kg which is equivalent to an Asian elephant. They only feed on small wildlife in the ocean such as small shrimp known as Krill. During the summer, the blue whale will blow itself with water and eat as much as 3,580 kg of Krill each day.

2. African Bush Elephant

The African Bush elephant will be the biggest land animal in the world with the male measuring 5 - 7.5 meters in length, 3.3 meters in height as well as weighing up to 5,900 kg. The female elephant will be much smaller measuring 5.4 - 6.9 meters in length, 2.7 meters in height, and weighing 3,000 kg.

The African Bush elephant generally does not become the prey due to their huge size but their offsprings are prone to lion and alligator attacks.

The elephant seal will usually dip in the water numerous times for 20 minutes in search of their prey going as deep as 400 - 1000 meters in depth.

The longest time to ever be recorded will be 2 hours at the depth of 1,400 meters.

4. Saltwater Crocodile

Not only does the saltwater crocodile the biggest reptile in the world but it also has one of the strongest bite power in the world. This animal can be found in Northern Australia all the way to southeast Asia and Eastern India.

An adult male saltwater crocodile can reach a weight of up to 1,000kg and a length of 4.1 - 5.5 meters. They are one of the most fearsome predators on land as it is capable of crushing their prey whether in the waters or on land.

5. Chinese Giant Salamander

For the amphibian category, the Chinese Giant Salamander or Andrias davidianus is the biggest amphibian in the world. It can grow up to 180 centimeters in length. The Salamander can commonly be found along rocky rivers and lakes in China.

It is classified as an endangered species due to their loss of habitat, contamination, and poaching illegally as the Chinese considered it a special food and can be used in traditional medicine.

6. Flemish Giant Rabbit

The Flemish Giant rabbit is an old breed originating from the Flemish region in Belgium. This species was first bred in the early 16th century in the city of Ghent.

As the biggest rabbit in the world, the Flemish Giant can weigh up to 12.7 kg reaching the size of a common dog.

7. Green Anaconda

The Japanese Spider crab is a sea crab that lived in the waters around Japan. It has very long legs from any other arthropod making it the biggest arthropod in the world.

The length of its legs can reach up to 3.7 meters in length and weighs 19 kg. In their natural habitat, these Japanese spider crabs will munch on cockles and animal carcasses as well as having a long lifespan of 100 years.
