1. Hakugin no Taiyo ($230 a piece)

The most expensive mango in the world will be the Hakugin no Taiyo with the price tag of $230 a piece. This mango was planted by Hiroyuki Nagawa on his farm in Hokkaido's Otofuke and surprisingly enough, it is harvested during the cold months of winter.

The reason why he calls it Hakugin no Taiyo which translates to the sun in the snow is due to how the mangoes are being planted. Inside his greenhouse farm, the temperature is set ideally at 36 °C despite the cold winter outside of -8 °C.

The taste is definitely premium as Nagawa claimed it to be sweeter than any regular mangoes with a smooth texture just like butter.
